Alcohol

Lara Campbell’s book “Respectable Citizens” has an excellent section that this card was based on. On page 132 she says: “Drinking was particularly dangerous to family survival, especially that of women and children, if it led to the loss of employment”. In the same section she makes the connection between alcohol and domestic violence.

The content of this card reflects the fact that there is a possibility of a positive relationship with alcohol, but that it is also possible to have it impact the ability to work proficiently in a negative way.
